Processing of personal data at Nordic Sidekick AB

Personal privacy is important to Nordic Sidekick AB. We strive for a high level of data protection. This policy explains how we collect and use personal data. It also describes your rights and how you can exercise them.

You are always welcome to contact us if you have questions about how we process your personal data. Contact details are at the end of this text.

What is personal data and what is processing of personal data?

Personal data is any information about a living natural person that can be directly or indirectly linked to that person. It is not only names and personal identity numbers but also, for example, images and email addresses.

Processing of personal data is everything that happens to the data in IT systems, whether on mobile devices or computers. It includes, for example, collection, registration, structuring, storage, processing and transfer. In some cases, manual registers may also be covered.

  3. 03

    Data controller

For the processing that takes place within Nordic Sidekick AB's operations, Nordic Sidekick AB is the data controller (556901-2288, Storgatan 67, 903 30 Umeå, Sweden).

  4. 04

What personal data do we collect about you and why?

We mainly process your name, personal identity number, address and contact details, bank account for salary payments, and information you have provided about next of kin.

We process your personal data to fulfil our obligations under our employment agreement with you and to comply with rules in law and collective agreements.

  5. 05

    Data processors

In some situations it is necessary for us to engage other parties, for example various IT suppliers for HR systems or electronic driving logs. They are then data processors to us. We review data processors to ensure they guarantee the security and confidentiality of the personal data. When data processors are engaged, it is only for purposes that are compatible with the purposes we ourselves have for the processing.

  6. 06

Parties that are independent data controllers

We also share your personal data with certain other parties that are independent data controllers, for example authorities such as the Swedish Tax Agency, when we are obliged to disclose such data under law or official decisions. When your personal data is shared with a party that is an independent data controller, that organisation's privacy policy and data handling apply.

  7. 07

How long do we retain your personal data?

We never retain your personal data longer than necessary for the respective purpose. Some data in the accounts must, due to legislation, for example be retained for at least seven years.

  8. 08

What are your rights as a data subject?

As a data subject you have a number of rights under applicable legislation. You have the right to obtain an extract showing what personal data we have registered about you. You can request rectification of inaccurate data and, in some cases, erasure.
